Artist Statement

           My ceramic sculptures are based on the beginnings and fruition of life cycles as I am intrigued by the idea that all new life contains a certain potential, yet to be fulfilled. The biomimicry motifs found in my sculptures are centered around growth found in nature, either inspired by my love of gardening or from collecting natural objects. As an artist, I wish to sensitize viewers to the beauty and profundity we have all around us, that we don’t often take the time to appreciate.
